2009-09-22 Everyone has a call. Statement. Truth. What are you doing with it? The Word tells us that many are called, but
few are chosen. For most Jesus lovers, this statement has caused us more than one occasion of pondering..'
- How exactly, are we chosen? We know in our hearts that this is a good thing,
a very good thing. But what causes our Lord to call us a chosen one?
Many are still waiting...waiting for God to pronounce them so, but fail to realize that being chosen is up
to us!
Every person who has received the fellowship
and forgiveness of Jesus has a call. A call to be light for Him in HIS Kingdom. We are instantaneously signed up for
the ministry of reconciliation of others to God, our Father thu Jesus , His Son. People do this to different degrees of obedience,
but this call is Kingdom wide for all believers. Most people are not called to the pulpit. Most Ministry
(or, your "call") is outside the church building.It takes place wherever you happen to be. Wherever you go,
work, and play. It's time to take a stand and answer THE CALL - not expecting the church ministers to do your share.
Ouch. The lie of the enemy to the believers has been that ministry is the responsibility of those called to the 5-fold
positions. not so...but it was easier to believe the lie.
The
first anointing comes when we answer the call. There should be more than one anoining in our lives. In the life of David,
we see at least 3 distinct anointings that take place. As a boy shepherd, as King of Judah, And as King of Israel. Through
his life we understand that the longer the journey, the greater the anointing.There is always time
between the anointings in our lives, a time of process.
"Process"
comes to mature us into our anointings.We can not by- pass the process. Few are willing to pay the price to go all the way
to this fulness of God. To be chosen. We can not run away from the test of dying to self and the test of perseverance. Satan
will try to take you down, to defile you, to trick and deceive you, steal from you and mess you up. Fact.But the stuff that
satan uses to mess you up is the very stuff God uses to lift you up! God is in it!To be chosen you must be an overcomer. To the overcomer, all things are possible. To the overcomer, a place
is held for you seated in high places within the throne-room of God. Overcomers carry the power
and anointing, the glory and authority of the Lord in the highest
measure.
What we seem to forget is that we must overcome some things in order
to become an overcomer. To be called chosen.You must endure the process to receive the mantle
of the chosen.
The chosen
are: A. warriors B. are answering the call right where they are, doing what they know to do. C. Are pursuing Him
and intimacy with Him and have no back up plan. D.they are faithful servants. E. They know that
unless God does a thing, they cannot.
The chosen have died to every
word that begins with "self" and made the great exchange -"not I that lives, but Christ who lives in me."Sound costly? Yes...it cost Jesus His precious blood
and it will cost you....everything.
We are matured into our anointings by testings. Which causes death to self. If death occurs, the anointing
remains, and we are chosen.
